Once that realization took hold, I felt as though a way forward had finally opened up for me.

I stepped out into the courtyard, walking with my head held high for the first time in a long while.

High up in the night sky hung a slender spring crescent moon.

For the very first time, I could truly appreciate its beauty.

The vast sky was a deep, ink-blue canvas, so clear that not a single cloud drifted across it.

The moon glowed bright and gentle, casting a soft, pale radiance over the willow branches.

A gentle breeze stirred through the courtyard, carrying the faint scent of southern blossoms.

The wind swayed the willow shadows, causing them to dance softly between the sunlit walls and the dark corners.

The moonlight was soothing rather than harsh, and the shadows were light rather than heavy.

As the cool night air drifted by, everything in the world seemed to settle into a soft, relaxed rhythm.

The surroundings were quiet and sleepy, almost ready to drift off, yet still swaying ever so gently in the night.

Just beneath the crescent moon and above the tips of the willow branches, two bright stars shimmered.

They looked like the smiling eyes of a fairy, playfully teasing the tilted moon and the dancing branches.

On the other side of the courtyard wall stood a tree covered in snow-white blossoms.

The pale moonlight bathed the blanket of flowers, illuminating half in bright silver while leaving the other half in soft, delicate shadows.

It was a scene of pure, quiet elegance—more breathtaking than I ever could have imagined.

“This new moon is where my second chance begins,” I whispered softly to myself.
